SmartHUB

The SmartHUB is a custom USB HUB designed for IT, DIY, and Maker folks.

It gives you the ability to control power and data per port based on your needs. You can also monitor voltage and power used on ports and set limits to protect your projects. The entire design is opensource and controllable via mqtt.

HUB3.0 is in the planning stages, with the hope of supporting 7 ports, usb C, and USB PD. along with having wifi and Ethernet support. and special firmware will also be designed for running automatic server backups, where data can be stored on external hard drives.

A few 2.0 hubs are in the wild but with the global IC shortage new hubs aren't currently buildable

Design work for HUB3.0 will hopefully start soon.
